The Hidden Benefit for Families.
This is one of the few routes where your family's timeline can accelerate.
The Main Applicant: Must complete 5 continuous years.
The Dependents: If you have a spouse or child who joins you later (e.g., in Year 3), they do not need to wait for their own 5 years. They can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (Settlement) on the exact same day as you.
Note: This exception does not apply to most other visa routes.
