The 36-Month Sprint.
For Global Talent leaders and Innovator Founders. While others wait five years, your endorsement accelerates your path to permanence.
The Pathways
The "Dependent Lag" Warning.
Achieving settlement in 3 years is a personal victory, not a family one.
The 5-Year Rule for Partners: Under Appendix Continuous Residence, your partner and children generally do not benefit from your acceleration. They must complete their own full 5-year qualifying period.
The Strategy: You apply for ILR in Year 3. Your family extends their visa for 2 more years. We manage this 'Split Status' transition to ensure their healthcare and travel rights are protected.
Proving "Earned Income."
Unlike the 5-Year route, you do not just need a salary; you need specific economic proof tied to your endorsement.
Global Talent: We must prove you earned money in your expert field. A generic job does not count. We audit contracts and invoices to link earnings to your endorsement discipline.
Innovator: We must prove 'Significant Achievement.' We prepare the dossier for your Endorsing Body meeting (Checkpoint 3) to ensure they sign off on your settlement application.
Accelerated Route FAQ
-
No. 'Promise' endorsements are strictly 5-year routes. However, if you switch to 'Talent' (by getting a new endorsement), your clock might reset. It is usually safer to wait the 5 years.
-
This route is closed to new entrants, but settlement is still possible until April 2025 (extensions until 2027). You can settle in 3 years if you created 10 jobs or generated £5M turnover. This is a complex 'legacy' audit we specialize in.
-
For Global Talent, yes. You can combine time spent as a Skilled Worker, Innovator, or Tier 1 migrant towards the 3-year total, provided you have held the Global Talent visa for your final qualifying period.
